Integration — Vodia
Your Vodia PBX forgets. Callnsight doesn’t.
Callnsight syncs every call record and recording from Vodia on a schedule, backfills what the PBX still holds, and keeps it all searchable by any part of a number, in your own timezone — for as long as your retention policy says.
What Vodia keeps to itself
- Days of history, not years
- Out of the box, Vodia keeps call records for seven days. Callnsight keeps every record it syncs — a year on Starter, up to three on Business, on a policy you set.
- Thirty records at a time
- The Vodia web interface shows the most recent calls, not the month you need to reconcile. Callnsight filters by direction, extension, caller ID or date range — and exports exactly the rows you filtered.
- Recordings on the system disk
- Recordings accumulate on the PBX’s own disk until they crowd the system that makes the calls. Callnsight moves them off — to its storage, or your own S3 bucket or SFTP server — and prunes to a written policy.
- A CDR is not a report
- Vodia’s own documentation points at external call accounting software for reporting. Callnsight is that application: volume and talk time by day, split by direction, with an abandoned rate — bucketed in your days, not UTC.
How it connects
Once
Create an API user on Vodia
Versions 68 through 70 are supported, cloud or self-hosted. Your dial plan, extensions and recording settings stay untouched — Callnsight only reads.
Two minutes
Point Callnsight at it
Enter the URL and credentials, test the connection. Credentials are encrypted before they touch the database.
From then on
The history arrives
The first sync backfills what the PBX still holds. After that, every 15 minutes, re-scanning a six-hour window so nothing slips through a gap.
Questions
- Which Vodia versions are supported?
- Versions 68 through 70, hosted or self-hosted. If you run something else, tell us through the contact form — the version list grows with demand.
- Does Callnsight change anything on my PBX?
- No. It reads call records and recordings through Vodia’s API with its own user. Your dial plan, extensions and recording settings are never written to.
- Where do the recordings live?
- On Callnsight’s storage on every plan, or on your own S3 bucket or SFTP server from Starter up — we index the audio, you own it.
- How long is call history kept?
- As long as your plan allows — 30 days on the Trial, one year on Starter, two on Growth, three on Business, negotiated on Enterprise — or any shorter policy you set.
