Who we are
Callnsight is a service of 1MC, Inc., a California corporation. This policy is written from 1MC, Inc.’s side, and “we” means 1MC, Inc. throughout.
What this policy covers
Two different kinds of information, which we treat differently:
- Your account information — the people at your organisation who sign in to Callnsight. We decide how this is used, so we are the controller of it.
- Your call data — the call records, recordings and transcripts we process on your behalf. You decide what is collected and why; we act on your instructions, so you are the controller and we are your processor.
Your account information
We collect the name, email address and password of each user who signs in, and records of their activity in the application — including an audit log of actions taken, and sign-in metadata such as IP address and session records. We use it to operate the service, secure accounts, and contact you about the service.
We support two-factor authentication and account-scoped API tokens.
Your call data
Depending on how your account is configured, we process:
| Data | Where it is stored |
|---|---|
| Call detail records — numbers, times, direction, disposition | Our infrastructure |
| Call recordings | Your own S3 or SFTP storage, or ours |
| Transcripts of recordings | Our infrastructure |
On recordings held in your own storage. From the Starter plan upwards you may keep call audio in your own S3 bucket or SFTP server, in which case the recording is never stored at rest on our infrastructure. It does still pass through our systems in order to be retrieved, transcribed and indexed.
We do not sell call data, and we do not use it to train models or to develop the service beyond delivering it to you.
Who else processes your data
Transcription providers. To produce a transcript we send the call audio to a transcription provider. We currently support:
- Deepgram, a speech-recognition provider based in the United States, which receives the audio of the recordings it transcribes.
- An OpenAI-compatible transcription endpoint, which may be a hosted service or a system we run ourselves, depending on configuration.
Enterprise accounts may supply their own transcription provider keys, in which case the provider is one you have chosen and contracted with directly.
The AI assistant does not send your data to a third party. It runs on models hosted on our own infrastructure.
Infrastructure. Our application, our databases, and — where you have not brought your own storage — your call recordings are held with third-party infrastructure providers under contract to us. We do not name them here. If your procurement needs the list, ask us and we will provide it.
Where your data is processed
Your data is processed in the United States. Callnsight is operated from the United States by 1MC, Inc., a California corporation; our application, databases and default recording storage all run there, and transcription by Deepgram happens there too.
Where you have brought your own storage, your recordings stay wherever you have put them — that location is yours to choose and ours to read from.
How long we keep it
You control how long call data is retained, as a per-account setting, subject to the maximum for your plan.
Deleting your data
When call data is pruned, or when an account closes, that data is taken out of service: it stops being processed and is no longer reachable through the application. Residual copies are kept afterwards so that a mistaken deletion can be undone. We do not promise a date by which copies are destroyed, because we would not be able to keep that promise today — see below.
To ask about data held on your account, email [email protected].
Your rights
Whoever you are and wherever you live, write to us and we will honour any reasonable request about your data — access, correction, or removal from service. Where we hold data on a customer’s behalf as call data, we may need to route your request through that customer, since the data is theirs.
People recorded on calls
Callnsight processes calls that your organisation has recorded. Responsibility for recording those calls lawfully — including any notice or consent the law requires of the parties — rests with you, not with us. We process what you send us on your instructions.
Changes to this policy
When this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. A material change — including a change to the third parties listed above — is announced to account holders before it applies to them.
